A Revolutionary Rollup-Based, Trustless Oracle Design

Zug, Switzerland — DIA, the open oracle network, is proud to announce its latest innovation, ‘Lumina’. Slated for an upcoming testnet launch, Lumina aims to address the ongoing challenge of achieving truly decentralized and trustless data infrastructure for Web3. This groundbreaking design is set to redefine oracle technology while expanding the utility of DIA’s native token, $DIA.

Lumina is built on a modular framework, enhancing oracle functions from data sourcing to delivery. At the heart of this system is DIA’s native L2 rollup, ‘Lasernet’, which capitalizes on recent advancements in Ethereum scaling technology.

The modular approach rethinks trust assumptions at every stage of the value chain. Staking mechanics incentivize a distributed network of nodes to source raw trade data from over 100 centralized and decentralized exchanges. These contributions are secured with $DIA tokens.

Zero-Knowledge components will verify raw data and computations, while Lasernet handles the storage and final price computation, ensuring a transparent, immutable, and scalable processing layer. A decentralized messaging protocol then ensures data is pushed to the relevant blockchain.

Setting New Standards for Trustless Oracles

DIA has already distinguished itself as a leading cross-chain oracle network, integrating with over 50 L1 and L2 chains and providing data to more than 200 dApps. Specializing in customizable data feeds, DIA excels in delivering on-chain and off-chain information across various applications.
“Lumina is the culmination of four years of Web3 infrastructure innovation condensed into a single product. It sets the stage for a decentralized and trustless oracle network that maximizes security while retaining flexibility for diverse use cases.”

A Phased Rollout Towards Full Decentralization

The deployment of DIA Lumina will occur in phases. The initial stage involves the launch of the Lasernet testnet and an early staking campaign. This will be followed by the introduction of a closed Lasernet mainnet and live staking. The final phase will open the mainnet to broader participation, allowing extensive involvement in the network.

Paul Claudius, a DIA co-founder, comments, “Our new architecture represents a significant shift in the oracle space, addressing previously accepted industry shortcomings. We are excited to unveil the realization of our vision for truly decentralized and transparent oracles, ready for integration with our extensive network of partners.”

About DIA

DIA is a trustless oracle network providing data feeds for tokens, LSTs, RWAs, random numbers, and more across any blockchain. Its permissionless nature allows nodes and stakers to contribute to distributed data sourcing, secured by robust crypto-economic and cryptographic mechanisms. DIA’s Ethereum L2 rollup, Lasernet, ensures all critical oracle operations are performed with trustless computation and complete verifiability.
