Supra L1 Launches Public Testnet with 500k TPS and Early Access for Partners

Zug, Switzerland — Supra, the cutting-edge Layer-1 blockchain with MultiVM support, integrated oracles, native randomness, cross-chain communication, and automation features, is excited to launch its incentivized public testnet. This milestone marks a crucial step toward Supra’s mainnet debut and highlights the platform’s impressive capabilities, including achieving over 500,000 transactions per second (TPS) and sub-second latency during tests with 300 global nodes.

The early-stage testnet is now live and currently available to select partner dApps and builders for internal testing. This controlled phase has allowed Supra to rigorously assess and refine its Layer-1 systems, ensuring robust security and stability. Over 160 dApps are signed up to help stress-test the network, providing crucial insights before the broader public release.

Supra will also grant early access to its 512,000 verified token holders, enabling them to engage with the testnet and contribute valuable feedback. The network will undergo planned stress-tests to identify and address potential weaknesses, ensuring resilience and reliability for the mainnet launch.

Upcoming Open Testnet

The permissionless testnet is set to launch within the next few days. Users and developers will soon be able to claim testnet tokens from a dedicated faucet, facilitating hands-on experience with token transfers and other on-chain activities. Access will be provided through Supra’s official StarKey Wallet, allowing users to perform simple transactions with test tokens.

In its initial rollout, Supra will support Move smart contracts, with plans to integrate an EVM environment shortly after. This will pave the way for a unified MultiVM ecosystem, and post-Token Generation Event, support for Solana and Cosmos dApps will be introduced.

To celebrate the testnet launch, Supra will host engaging games on its “Countdown to Blast Off” platform, offering opportunities to earn SUPRA tokens. This approach aims to boost community participation and reward early adopters with testnet tokens.
“The launch of our early-stage testnet is a pivotal milestone for Supra and the Web3 community. We’re committed to delivering secure, user-friendly solutions and are eager to see the community engage with our network. Your feedback will be instrumental in ensuring a successful mainnet launch.”

Next Steps and Community Involvement

Supra invites the community and dApp partners to begin experimenting with the testnet and reach out with any technical questions. Detailed testnet documentation, faucet guides, and tutorials will be provided to assist users in claiming testnet tokens and initiating transactions. The Supra team encourages high participation and feedback as they prepare for the mainnet launch.

This development represents a significant advance in Supra’s roadmap, bringing the organization closer to its Token Generation Event and mainnet launch. Supra extends its gratitude to supporters, community members, and the team for their continued dedication and looks forward to pioneering the next era of blockchain technology.
