Crypto.com partners Unstoppable Domains to offer Web3 domain names

Crypto.com and Unstoppable Domains (UD) have partnered to offer users an opportunity to acquire premium Web3 domain names.

The limited offer will see users gain access to 200 premium Web3 domains in a flash sale between July 10 and August 9, 2024. Prices for the domains will range from as low as $20 to as high as $10,000, Unstoppable Domains and Crypto.com said in a press release.

Users can acquire the domains via Crypto.com to benefit from a secure permanent ownership of their Web3 identity, the companies added.

Strengthening blockchain ecosystem

Sandy Carter, COO of Unstoppable Domains, commented on the partnership, noting that Web3 domains play a crucial role in the blockchain security and crypto user experience. Instead of lengthy wallet addresses, users can transact easily through a single, user-friendly name.

A Web3 domain holder can use it for native crypto payments, manage their digital assets, and access Unstoppable Domains’ partner applications among other functions.

“Our latest partnership with crypto.com will strengthen the blockchain ecosystem and bring a new influx of new users for whom crypto will be the gateway to the world of Web3. Our message to participants is simple: Come for the crypto, stay for the benefits of owning your digital identity and the vibrant new communities built on decentralized web,” Carter added.

Unstoppable Domains will provide a range of domains, including premium ones such as “x.x.” Others include popular one, two, or three-character domains, such as “1.go,” “pay.austin,” and “bags.crypto.”

“Domain ownership is a foundational piece of the Web3 ecosystem of today and tomorrow,” said Crypto.com director of digital partnerships Thomas Prevot.
